With setting sun we start to paddle. Dusk, descends. We will be out ’til the early evening into one of the last pristine mangrove rivers in Bohol. As experienced night kayak guides, we’ll get you to know the river’s interesting ecology as we meander calm waters. This community-involved activity has changed the lives of many families along this river. It also has significantly improved the way the river’s conservation efforts are managed.
We’ll pick you up from your accommodation when you’re in these major areas: Panglao, Tagbiliaran or Loboc. The transfer to our river station is a one (1) – hour car drive from Panglao or Loboc. It is only 15 minutes from Tagbilaran City.
At the river station, we will jumpstart our paddling session with a Safety briefing and basic kayaking lesson. A healthy serving of home-cooked Filipino dinner comprised of fresh and locally-sourced ingredients awaits you after our night kayaking.
The Firefly Kayaking Trail promotes conservation tourism at its core. We continually challenge ourselves to provide an authentic ecotourism experience that is truly environmentally sustainable and socially responsible.
